A security operation is under way in County Down after a suspicious object was found in the Ballykinler area.
The Commons Road has been closed to traffic and a police helicopter is at the scene.
Army technical officers have been called to deal with the alert.
A police spokeswoman advised members of the public to stay away from the Commons Road area.
