Doctor Who star David Tennant will turn his hand to storytelling this Christmas when he reads five tales to pre-school children on the CBeebies channel.
Tennant will be seen reading stories including The Christmas Bear by Henrietta and Paul Stickland on Christmas Eve.
The actor will be seen for the last time as the Time Lord in a two-part story over the festive season.
Tennant announced he would be leaving the BBC One show last year.
Viewers will also see him star in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Hamlet on BBC Two.
The star is also set to make his US television debut as the lead role in a pilot for a comedy drama, playing a Chicago lawyer who suffers from panic attacks and coaches his clients to represent themselves.
The NBC hour-long show is entitled Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.
