+1 Button Lets Users Approve Google Search Links (NewsFactor)

If you like something, tell your friends. That’s the reasoning behind Google’s newest feature enhancement for its popular search engine — a +1 button to indicate you’ve given your approval to something that will show up in search results.

A user needs to have, and sign on to, a Google account with a public Google profile. The +1 button is currently in Google Labs, so interested users will first have to join an experiment within their account to see the option. After searching for something, a user can then click the +1 button and, as the search giant puts it, “make your mark on the web.”
