Even as a youth growing up in Montreal, Canada, Mario Laskaris understood that one must work hard in order to achieve success. He took this philosophy to heart while studying at Dawson College in Montreal and earned his diploma of Collegial Studies in Health Sciences. Even then Dr. M. Laskaris knew his passion lay in dentistry and working with people and went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Concordia and McGill Universities where he majored in Biology with a focus on Genetics. His passion for academics and higher education would certainly pay off when he was awarded an NSERC for research in cancer and tumour suppression and again in 1998 when he received his dental degree from McGill University.
Dr. Mario Laskaris along with his wife and two children are proud to call Chilliwack, BC their home. As principal dentist and owner of the Chilliwack Dental Centre he has worked hard to make his practice one where patients can feel confident that they are receiving the best professional dental care in a relaxed environment. Dr. Mario Laskaris understands that people of all ages can become anxious around dental procedures and has gone to great lengths to earn their trust and respect.
In spite of a sometimes challenging work schedule at the Chilliwack Dental Centre, Dr. Laskaris enjoys spending as much quality time as possible with his family. He strongly believes that a large portion of the satisfaction and fulfillment he has been able to achieve is as a direct result of having the opportunity to give back to the community that he lives and works in. Dr. Laskaris is proud to be associated with the Chilliwack Mt. Cheam Rotary Club and their many charitable events such as Meals On Wheels, Polio Plus worldwide eradication, the Rotary Wheelchair Foundation and much more.
