But even though the U.S. is still struggling to recover the Gulf of Mexico region from the devastating oil spill, the Exxon Valdez oil spill is still impacting the shores of the Prince William Sound shoreline. A federal hearing on Friday, March 4, will consider whether the responsible party, Exxon Mobil Corporation, still owes another $100 million in efforts and funding to clean up oil still remaining on the shore.
