NEW ORLEANS – Chris Paul is missing his second straight game when the Hornets host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.
Paul has been out since his collision with Cleveland’s Ramon Sessions on Sunday night, after which the Hornets’ All-Star point guard was diagnosed with a mild concussion.
Paul attended the Hornets’ shootaround on Wednesday morning wearing practice gear, but coach Monty Williams says Paul only watched and has not been cleared by doctors to play.
Williams says he doesn’t know when Paul might return and that the team wants to be careful with Paul’s injury and won’t rush him.
Paul is averaging 15.9 points and 9.6 assists for the Hornets, who are in a tight race for a Western conference playoff spot.
