Ropes Gray, Clayton Utz and Allens Arthur Robinson have advised on Bain Capital’s $1.2 billion acquisition of Australian business software developer MYOB Ltd. Boston-based Bain Capital is acquiring the company from a consortium led by Sydney’s Archer Capital Pty. Ltd. Ropes Gray Hong Kong partners Brian Schwarzwalder and Michael Nicklin advised Bain Capital. Clayton Utz acted as Australian counsel to Bain Capital, with partners Niro Ananda and Philip Kapp leading work for their firm. Allens Arthur Robinson’s Sydney partner Tom Story advised Archer Capital. Corrs Chambers Westgarth partner Shawn Wytenburg was counsel to the underwriters. [Read full story]
