
EA announced in a press release yesterday that the demo for Bioware’s Mass Effect 3 will drop on February 14. That’s right, you can either spend Valentine’s Day with a loved one, or you can get back into virtual alien husbandry.
The demo packs two modes, single- and multi-player. The single-player demo previews the beginning of the game, including what Bioware calls the “mind-blowing opening attack on Earth.” Translation: you get to play the finished version of what leaked back in November. Basically, it sets up the all-out war against the Reapers on multiple fronts.
Mass Effect 3 also brings a new cooperative multiplayer mode to the series for the first time, and the demo will offer a taste of that as well. Further details on what’s playable in the co-op demo weren’t given.
