SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — GLAAD likes Facebook.
The social networking site won a Special Recognition Award during a Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation‘s 23rd annual Media Awards.
Other honorees during Saturday’s rite in San Francisco enclosed “Grey’s Anatomy” for play series, “Days of Our Lives” for daily play series, Max J. Rosenthal of The Huffington Post for digital broadcasting article, Wells Fargo for a Corporate Leader Award and “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes for a Golden Gate Award.
The awards salute fair, accurate and thorough illustration of a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender village and a issues that impact their lives in a media. Other winners from among this year’s 35 categories were respected during ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles progressing this year.
