FORT SUMNER, N.M. (AP) — The tombstone of Billy a Kid has been repaired.
Officials during a old Fort Sumner Museum contend a famous outlaw’s 2000-pound tombstone was easy this week after vandals sloping it over and shop-worn it final month.
De Baca County authorities contend other graves in a tomb were also vandalized and thieves pennyless into a aged Fort Sumner Museum. Three antique rifles and a shotgun were stolen from a museum.
Museum officials contend an atmosphere conditioning section has been bound and a exhibits are open to a public.
No arrests have been made.
