WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat, warned congressional Republicans on Monday that he will not go along with any proxy government spending bill that contains argumentative add-ons, such as denying supports for “Obamacare.”
With only a week before appropriation for U.S. agencies is set to end unless Congress acts, Reid pronounced that House of Representatives leaders in entrance days will “face a choice: Either pass a purify CR or close down a federal government.”
A “CR” is shorthand for a “continuing resolution,” that is a proxy appropriation check to keep government handling in a mercantile year starting Oct 1.
