Palo Alto-based software provider Aurora Solar said this week that Connecticut Green Bank authorized Aurora’s remote shading simulation software as an acceptable replacement for the onsite solar project inspections previously required when applying for rebates associated with system installations.

A spokesperson for the CT Green Bank told Renewable Energy World that Aurora joins the list of authorized software providers that it has vetted to support the bank’s services.

According to Aurora, its software incorporates the measurements of a site’s solar potential as part of a standardized solar shade report that consolidates all the information solar companies need in making financing, installation, and rebate decisions.
