Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has attended the opening of parliament, just days after offering to hold peace talks with the Taliban. The armed group has yet to respond to the request – which would pave the way for them to eventually be recognised as a political party. But not all Afghans are happy for Ghani to pursue peace at any cost.
