The Women Caught in Adultery: Forgiveness and Jesus I Am

When Jesus spoke John 8 24 “I Am,” he was not speaking to those outside of his faith and religion. He was speaking as a Rabbi to other members of the most monotheistic institution in history, Judaism, regarding the acceptance and forgiveness of sinners and the application of Jewish law. His audience was court elite, the Pharisees who were not polytheistic, pantheistic or atheistic. So what was his point in the historical context?
