Two British soldiers were seriously injured by a missile fired by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) armed group in eastern Syria on Saturday, according to a war monitor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the pair were part of the international anti-ISIL coalition, led by the United States.
