After 47 years, the Golden State Warriors are leaving behind Oakland to move across the Bay to the new, state of the art Chase Center () in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood. 

The new stadium will seat more than 18,000 people and will not only be home to the Warriors, but also concerts and other events ubiquitous to arenas. The stadium is scheduled to open in the fall.

“This is the first time in the history of San Francisco that we will have a world class sports and entertainment arena. There is no city half its size in the country that doesn’t already have that,” Warriors Chief Operating Officer and President Rick Welts told TheStreet Tuesday.
