To the Editor:

Just read Rick Moriarty’s article in the Post-Standard, bemoaning the lack of a $15/hour minimum wage (“New York adopted a $15 minimum wage in 2016: Where’s my pay raise?,” Feb. 25, 2019).

Hmm, $15 an hour minimum wage, “it sounds great, if you say it fast.”

Unfortunately, Moriarty failed to detail the impact on businesses forced to increase wages without any benefit to their bottom line except to lay off workers or increases prices.
