The Fox Valley Park District was doing its best to help teens, adults and seniors find work Saturday at the Prisco Community Center in Aurora.

Jacob Aguinaga, 15, of Sugar Grove said he was hoping to land his first job either as a swim instructor or a pony ride operator at Blackberry Farm at the district’s job fair.

“I just heard about this job fair yesterday and want to do something outside,” Aguinaga said. “It’s about having something to do and getting out of the house.”

Fox Valley Park District Human Resources Manager Lisa Santoria said the job fair has been offered since 2007 and that the event was designed for the district to hire seasonal as well as full-time help.
