CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Kirkwood Community College received a prestigious award recognizing their commitment to an international education, administrators announced on Wednesday.

The school was named one of five recipients of the Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. It is given to institutions of higher learning that show excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of their campuses.

The award is named after the late Senator Paul Simon, from Illinois.
