FORT MYERS, Fla.— Greg Rye would always tell Twins President Dave St. Peter that he was going to work for the Twins one day.
He wasn’t joking.
The two sat on a couple of boards together in the Twin Cities, and when Rye semi-retired from his printing company, he called up St. Peter.
“’Well, I’m ready for you to deliver on the promise,’” Rye said to him. “I wasn’t looking for a career, I wasn’t looking for a high-level job. I just wanted to be part of the organization.”
