ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) – Governor Asa Hutchinson was in northwest Arkansas Wednesday for an announcement about hundreds of new jobs coming to the area.

Transportation management service company Transplace announced a new operations center in Rogers.

The $45 million project will replace the current Transplace center in Lowell which employs over 700 people. 

“It’s always important to try to grow business and attract new companies to the area,” said Rogers mayor, Greg Hines. “But sometimes it’s just as important to focus on the retention of the jobs you have in the area.”

Along with keeping current employees, the company plans to add hundreds of new jobs over the next few years to keep up with its growing demand.
