OROVILLE — The Oroville Botanic Gardens and Education Center hosted its second annual seed swap Saturday at the Butte County Farm Bureau.

Debi Upton, a membership chairman for the center, said people were encouraged to bring seed to share with others. There were several types of seeds available for attendees to take home to start their gardens.

“We (the center) brought a bunch of seeds and then people can bring their own, too,” Upton said. “Some of the seeds are actually store-bought seeds and then some of them are actually seeds that people harvest from their own plants. We have ornamentals and fruits and vegetables.”
