JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A bill is working its way through the Missouri legislature that would impact the creation of new jobs in the state.
Senate Bill 180 would expand upon the Missouri Works Program, which gives tax credits to select businesses who create new jobs.
This particular bill would allow for tax credits to apply for improvements at military facilities in the state.
Representatives are hoping the intiative would increase jobs for not only those in the military but civilians as well.
The next step for the bill is for it to be approved by the Senate before moving forward.
