WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW) — Shopko announced that 39 additional stores will be closing in Wisconsin by June 19.

The North Central Workforce Development Board said 11 of the 39 stores will be closing in the North Central Region, with around 450 employees losing their jobs in the region and more than 1,700 employees statewide.

The North Central Workforce Development Board is offering assistance to Shopko employees as they prepare for the stores to close.
