Rochester, N.Y. – Senator Chuck Schumer says he’s received a commitment from the CEO of Windstream Holdings, Inc. that local jobs will not be cut following the company’s recent bankruptcy declaration.

Last week, 13WHAM reported Windstream and its subsidiaries filed petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 bankruptcy after a judge ruled against the company in a $310 million judgement.

The Arkansas-based company employs about 700 in Rochester.
