SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has approved a $300,000 grant agreement with the Hourglass Project in an effort to create more jobs on the Central Coast.

The funds will help lay the groundwork for a project called the Central Coast Jobs Roadmap and Action Plan. This grant makes up only about 35 percent of the money needed – the remaining funds will come from private organizations and non-governmental agencies. 

Assistant County Administrative Officer Guy Savage said, “This project is a public-private partnership that will provide an actionable approach to helping us all work together to restructure and build a stable local economy.”
