TAVARES — Eustis Heights Elementary School principal Chad Frazier recently joined nearly 200 educators from across the country to advocate for public education.

With support from the National Association of Elementary School Principals, Frazier visited congressional offices and asked lawmakers to address a number of issues, including boosting federal education funding, improving principal recruitment and preparation, boosting school safety and strengthening school-based mental health services.

“Few understand the needs of our nation’s schools better than the educators that work in them every day,” Frazier said in a press release. “When Congress is making important decisions about the future of American education, principals’ voices must be included.”
