GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WSAV) – Governor Brian Kemp toured the Peach State highlighting campaign promises he’s kept in his first 100 days in office. 

His stop in Chatham County also included a major jobs announcement featuring a company that plans to hire 166 people. It’s set to become one of Georgia Port Authority’s best customers.

Kemp announced Plastic Express, a leader in the plastic resins industry, will expand operations with two new manufacturing facilities, investing more than $172 million at the Port Logistics Center in Pooler.

“I don’t think people really realize how huge this project is,” the governor said, adding, “The amount of port traffic this company in the first year will be one of the top five folks doing business in the port.
