CLARKSBURG — Nearly 300 people from multiple counties came to Clarksburg Monday night for a state forum on public education.

Those attending the West Virginia Department of Education’s forum at Robert C. Byrd High School included parents, teachers, administrators, board of education members from various counties and the state — and even a few students.

The forum was the sixth in a series of eight held across the state. Over 1,300 people have attended the forums so far, including about 300 in Charleston, 260 in Huntington, 150 in Welch, 150 in Beckley and 185 in Parkersburg, Anderson said.
