BALTIMORE (AP) — Fans at Camden Yards hoping for a breakout from slumping slugger Chris Davis got a cruel twist Wednesday night.

Oakland slugger Khris Davis homered twice and had three hits, Baltimore’s Chris Davis extended his record hitless streak to 50 at-bats and the Athletics beat the Orioles 10-3 Wednesday night.

Davis reached 200 homers for his career, tying Seattle’s Jay Bruce for the major league lead at seven this season.

“That’s a lot of homers,” Oakland manager Bob Melvin said. “Once he established himself, and certainly once he got here, he’s become one of the elite power hitters in the game.”

Chad Pinder, Jurickson Profar and Matt Chapman also homered for Oakland, which can take the four-game series Thursday.
