NEW YORK — The sight of Jacob deGrom playing long toss in the Busch Stadium outfield on Saturday raised a number of eyebrows.

Not so with Brodie Van Wagenen.

“I wasn’t surprised,” the Mets GM told reporters prior to Monday’s NL East showdown with the Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field.
