Freestyle bullfighting, the Mini Bull-Riding event, the Super Kids Rodeo, appearances by a professional rodeo clown, music and a salute to veterans will help highlight this year’s Old Fort Days Rodeo.
Now in its 86th year, the rodeo also will feature the Old Fort Days Barrel Futurity and Super Derby, professional rodeo announcer Mike Mathis, the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, Mutton Bustin’ sessions, a Cowboy Church service, performances by area singers and musicians, food and more, said Randy Mizell, Old Fort Days Rodeo chairman.
“The Old Fort Days Rodeo is a special event for our community,” he said. “The Mini Bull-Riders will be among the events, and they’ll have five bull-riders between the ages of 8-14 each night. It’s a big deal and it will be something to really see.”
