Taos County Democrats will host a discussion and forum Thursday (Aprill 11) about the Yazzie/Martinez vs. New Mexico court case that has upended the state’s view on education.

In 2018, the courts found that New Mexico was not putting enough money toward bilingual and native american education and action was needed to correct the education system. This talk will discuss the in’s and out’s of that case as well as what education could look like for the future of New Mexico.

The event is free and open to the public and will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bataan Hall at 120 Civic Plaza Drive.
