Stop & Shop workers across the state are walking out Thursday following months of failed union contract negotiations

At the store on Reidville Drive, the doors were locked at 1:30 p.m. and customers were being turned away. There were about 25 striking employees outside.

Unions representing store workers have been without a contract since February. They authorized a strike in March, but members had continued working until Thursday.
