Major league pitchers can be extremely particular about their routines. Everything has to be just right, from the mound to the baseball to … the cleats.

So Perez called for a new pair, leaving everyone in the ballpark waiting while an Indians staffer ran into the clubhouse to get the shoes.
What resulted was one of the strangest delays of the season — with Perez standing on the mound in his socks.
