There’s no business like show business.

And North Iowans can find out why when the latest Mason City Community Theatre production opens Thursday.

“It’s Only a Play,” directed by Steve Musson, will run two weekends at the theater located at 215 S. Delaware Ave. Show times are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, as well as 7 p.m. May 9-11 and 2 p.m. May 12.

“It reminds me of ‘Seinfeld’ where they’re all about themselves. That’s this whole play,” Musson said. “It’s funny.”

The Tony-nominated play, written by Terrence McNally, is set on opening night of a playwright’s new play.
