Robinson Cano seems damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

Two days after being benched by New York Mets manager Mickey Callaway for last weekend, the eight-time All-Star was forced to exit Wednesday’s game after appearing to injure himself … running out a ground ball. 

The play occurred in the bottom of the third, when Cano hit a routine grounder to shortstop for the final out of the inning. He broke out of the batter’s box and appeared to feel something wasn’t right about halfway down the first-base line.
