I ran for Senate because I had a vision of a New York state government that would seek to protect the most vulnerable and that would prioritize the health and well-being of future generations. I am very proud that in this legislative session, we are making that vision a reality. We recently passed a set of bills to advance clean air and water, protect consumers from toxins like lead and mercury in household items, and make green energy more affordable.
