Becoming a doctor isn’t the only way to earn a hefty salary. While it’s the highest-paying gig in nearly every state in America, there are other jobs that pay well, too.

Business Insider recently examined the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment and Wage Estimate to determine the top-paying career in every U.S. state and the District of Columbia, excluding medical doctors and dentists. They examined data from May 2018, the most recent available, and looked only at occupations with at least 1,000 employees in-state.  

For Georgia, chief executive officers came out on top. Business Insider found CEOs make an average annual salary of $218,590.
