The Boys and Girls Clubs of Long Beach and the YMCA Clubs of Greater Long Beach provide activities all year long, but the pace picks up in the summer.

Active in Long Beach since 1939, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Long Beach (BGCLB) have traditional summer day camps in three locations. The Petrolane Branch (1920 Lemon St.), Eastman Branch (700 E. Del Amo Blvd.), and Westside Branch (1835 W. Willard St.) host half-day programs from 2 to 6 p.m. for youth ages 6-18. These half-day camps, which include snacks and dinner, are free to those who have paid the $15 annual membership.
