Colorado Workforce Center held a special luncheon last Tuesday, April 30 for junior high students from Akron and Lone Star. The lunch, a taco bar, was held at the Akron School and 5 Star Restaurant provided the food for the students and adults who attended. The event was to honor the kids for their participation in “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” This is a new program started by Work Force to show students there are many other jobs for which they don’t necessarily need a college education, but that vocational training can be a big help.
