Sumter School District administrators Dana Fall and Norris Williams have accepted positions in other districts in the state.

Fall, the district’s chief operations officer for the last four years, was named superintendent of Cherokee County School District in Gaffney. Fall has already left Sumter, according to a district spokeswoman. He will begin his duties in Cherokee County on July 1.

Williams, brought in by Hamm as an assistant superintendent for leadership and school excellence in January 2018, accepted a job as principal at Blue Eagle Academy, the alternative program in Clover School District in York County.

A Rock Hill resident, Williams commuted daily the last two years to Sumter. Previously, as a middle school principal in Rock Hill, Williams was named the 2017 state Middle-Level
