Entertainment has found itself a new chief marketing officer in the shape of Chris Spadaccini, a long-serving stalwart who helped market the Sopranos and launch the HBO Now streaming service.

In his new role, which comes following the departure of incumbent Michael Engleman, Spadaccini’s remit will expand far beyond HBO to encompass Warner’s other cable networks such as TNT and TBS.

Bob Greenblatt, chairman of Warner’s entertainment and direct-to-consumer business, commented: “I’ve long been impressed with the quality and cutting-edge approach of the HBO marketing group overseen by Chris, and I was happy he was up for taking on our whole portfolio of linear networks and streaming platforms.
