The Florida Department of Education released school grades to districts throughout the state Thursday morning and lauded the “monumental improvements” in the scores.
But one state education organization says the “destructive grading system” is nothing to be proud of.
“School grades are supposed to be a measure of success, but what they measure well is family income,” the Florida Education Association said in a press release sent out in response to Thursday’s grades.
