McMahan fell in the first category, an individual with an interest in the industry and an idea to make a career of it. He just needed the specific education.
“With the CTU course one of the basic things is learning the agriculture, but then it goes to the biology of the plant,” McMahan said. “It really does cover from seed to sale inside their program.”
He’s glad he took the time to learn and wishes more would seek out some form of training before starting in the business.
