Fun, food and entertainment receive top billing as part of the 45th annual Elk County Fair, slated for Aug 6-10.
Some new and notable things are on the fair schedule.
“There are some new things coming this year; we are hoping people will come out and support both the old and new. We have ‘STORM Truck Racing,’ It is sanctioned truck racing, on Wednesday night. Thursday night, we have our side-by-side races, which are drag races in side-by-sides. That’s a first this year,” said Rita Gerber, Elk County Fair treasurer.
“Also, new last year — and we are trying again this year — is Pallet Upcycling. You bring in something you made out of wood pallets, and the judges judge the crafts
