(Shenandoah) — The Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation has awarded the second $2,000 Gee Scholarship to benefit the school’s business education department.

Foundation officials made the announcement this week that the award will help the department purchase computer teaching software, fund a field trip for senior business students and purchase a new Microsoft Surface Pro.

“The rules of the Gee Scholarship are written that the foundation can award individual college scholarships to students in business-related fields, like we did last year with Loren, or we can fund programs and equipments for the overall business education program at the high school, like we’re doing now,” said Duane Rexroth, a member of the foundation’s scholarship committee. “This year, we wanted to convey to the community
