Winter Olympics juggernaut Shaun White is carving out a path for the Summer Olympics.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist in snowboarding announced plans Tuesday to compete in the world skateboarding championships in Brazil this September, effectively putting the 32-year-old on a trajectory for the Tokyo 2020 Games next summer for the sport’s inaugural Olympic competition.
