Sisters Clara and Eleanore Nation show off their completed “moo masks,” soybean crayons and beef/dairy agricultural magazines during a recent visit to Barry Public Library. The sisters, along with Jack Nation, explored agricultural education during a program led by Pike-Scott Farm Bureau’s Agriculture in the Classroom program on behalf of the Two Rivers Farm Bureau Foundation. Along with making the mask and receiving a package of crayons made from soy, participants joined in as several ag-themed books were read during story time. The program, part of the library’s summer reading program, runs from 5 to 6 p.m. Mondays until November.
