LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation recently awarded 17 teachers more than $9,000 in project grants for innovative classroom and extracurricular projects.

The Foundation annually awards the grants from the Margaret Warner Educational Grants Fund, Meinke Creative Teaching Grant Fund and Foundation funds.

“Teachers really appreciate the funding,” Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation Executive Director Terri Richards said.

“A lot of them have some really cool ideas as far as trying to help kids learn but don’t have a way to implement it ether funding-wise or with materials. This really helps. Some projects don’t cost a lot of money, some do.”
